These are the principles that govern what we publish. They're not aspirational — they're the rules we hold our own content to, including content already on the site. If we fall short of any of them, please tell us.
gameserver.rentals is an independently operated site. We are not owned by, employed by, or controlled by any hosting provider, hosting parent company, or industry consortium. No provider has editorial input or pre-publication review on our content.
Affiliate relationships exist with most of the providers we cover. Those relationships are disclosed transparently and have no influence on rankings, ratings, or which providers we cover. See our methodology for how we mitigate the inherent conflict of interest.
Our content uses three categories of source:
We do not cite anonymous review aggregators, hosting comparison sites that mirror our content, or unverified claims from social media.
We use AI assistants as research and editorial tools — for outlining, for catching missed pricing inconsistencies, for proofreading. We do not use AI to bulk-generate provider reviews or comparison content, and we do not publish content that hasn't been edited and approved by a human editor.
Pricing and provider features change. We update content on a rolling basis when we touch a piece, and we date our updates ("Updated April 2026") on each affected page. Pages that have not been updated within the last 12 months are flagged internally for re-review.
If you find pricing, features, or claims that are out of date, please email us and we'll re-verify and update.
When we get something wrong, we correct it visibly rather than quietly editing the page. If we publish incorrect pricing, mislabel a feature, attribute a fact to the wrong provider, or otherwise make a factual error, we update the affected content and (for material errors) note the correction.
To report a correction, email hello@gameserver.rentals with the URL and the specific issue. We aim to respond and correct within 5 business days.
Editorial work on gameserver.rentals is performed by Rob Steele, the site's founder and editor. Bylines on individual pieces credit Rob and link to his bio on our About page. As our editorial team grows, we'll publish individual author bios for additional contributors here.
